Browsing Posts in Blogging

To create headlines that stop readers right in their tracks, generate attention to every word, and lead them right to the buy button of your page, you need to master the art of creative headlines.

Once you realize the power of headlines, and how you can draw your readers in and turn a casual browser, into an excited reader that is ready to click on that “buy button”.

Tell Your Readers They’re In The Right Place

We live in a busy world. You only have about seven seconds to catch the eye of your reader. People won’t read your article or sales page to find out if it is relevant to them. You have to tell them.

How do you do that? It’s simple; you make sure that your headline is clear, not cleaver. Tell your reader exactly what they are going to get if they read on.

Be specific. Use words that spell out, without any doubt, that what you have is very relevant to they’re specific need or problem. For example, read the title of this article your reading right now. “Stop Them In Their Tracks  Headlines -  That Convert Browsers Into Buyers”

When your writing your headline, think of the primary problem and the results that your readers are looking for. Make that your headline. If you do this right, your readers will know that they are  in the right place and you can get cleaver latter on in the copy.

Dangle The Carrot Under Their Nose – With A Powerful Result in The Headline

After you show that they’re in the right place and what you have is relevant to what they need, you need to dangle a mouth watering result that will come from addressing that need. A sentence or line that will be a connection and a link from relevance to result is extremely important.

Remember, most people are not looking for products or services as they are looking for results to issues or problems that they are having. The keywords that you use in your headlines, can be that connection from relevance to result. Put yourself into your readers shoes. Why would they want to take that relevant action? This should give you a couple of gold nuggets to put into your headline.

This article is a good example. Your still reading because you want to know how to write better headlines. Headlines that will turn those browsers into buyers. I put that into the headline.

Add Words That Stir The Emotions and Create Action in Your Headline

Once relevance and results are tied together, put some keywords into your headline that make those two jump out at you. Take a look at my headline for this post. I used the long-tailed keyword, “stop them in their tracks” to describe what kind of headline. I also used the the word, “converts” that describes what kind of action will result when these changes are made.

Choose relevant keywords that make the desired results more accessible. You could also add words like “easy” or “simple” to your headline to describe a desired timeframe.

A powerful tool that I use to generate relevant keywords and phrases with astonishing results is Market Samurai. This tool takes all the work out of finding relevant keywords for your articles or sales pages. Unless you’re an expert at SEO, Market Samurai is a must for every serious entrepreneur.

As with anything, practice will make you better and better at writing articles and sales pages that are ranked at the top of all the search engines. Before you know it, you will be writing, “Stop Them In Their Tracks Headlines – That Converts Browsers Into Buyers”

The function of keywords is to attract the search engine’s attention. Once attracted, the search engine lists the site that contains the keyword. This system opened up avenues for search engine abuse by web masters. Because of a search engine’s heavy dependence on keywords, anybody could write “sex, xxx, porn” and other strong keywords even though the website contains nothing of the sort. As a result of this abuse, the reputations of search engines all over the web begun to suffer. Surfers got re-directed to websites that had no relevance to their query.

To stop the abuse and enhance their accuracy and reputation, search engines devised an algorithm method where web crawlers not only looked at the keywords, but also at the contents that goes along with them. With this new method of indexing, web masters and internet marketers were finally forced to perform honest work. They stopped using words like “sex, xxx” and porn” where there was none and begun writing relevant articles that give accurate descriptions of their website or products.

As a result of this new indexing system, the industry of search engine optimization (SEO) article writing was born. SEO article writers are required to write meaningful articles that thoroughly describe the product or website. Aside from using correct and appropriate writing methods, they also have to reserve slots within the article for the seeding of keywords.

As far as search engines are concerned, they index your website by scanning the top of your website first. Be sure to have descriptive articles of about 500-700 words as this is what the search engines look for. Within that 500-700 word article, embed your keywords in it without breaking the smooth flow of the article. Try to avoid grammar deficiencies because of keyword seeding. Your article needs to be as correct as it can be for the search engine to understand what your website is saying and what relevance it has to a searcher’s query.

You can try the old method but you will not get as good results as you will with the honest way. Furthermore, attempting to mislead a search engine can lead to a low ranking.  Aside from being given low priority in searches, search engines also have the option of removing your website from their index. If this unfortunate development happens to your website, you’re in trouble.

The internet is evolving. Just as it took centuries for the laws of the United States to reach maturity, the internet is hurrying along at light-speeds to protect everyone who decides to visit it. If you try to disrupt the flow of one of its economies, various individuals and corporations that own a stake in the internet will immediately smother you and the tools you use for disturbing a relatively peaceful environment.

As honesty seems to be the best policy for now, SEO article writing is the way to go. Do not compromise your articles for the sake of keyword density. After all, when your customers get to your website and read a poorly written article, they probably won’t come back to read another one.

Choosing the blogging software in which your blogs will run is extremely important. If you choose the wrong one you will be missing out on a great deal of useful features and it will be a nightmare to switch over to another once your blog is established. You basically have 3 options; Word Press, TypePad or Blogger.

Each platform offers two different options to use their software. You can host it on your own domain or you can get a free blog and they will host it. The quickest and easiest option is obviously to get a free blog that is hosted by them. However, if you want to start blogging the right way, I highly recommend that you host it on your own domain. Here are a few good reasons for that:

  1. 1. You have complete control over your blogs. No one can suspend your account etc. It’s your blog, you’re just using their software!
  2. 2. If you ever decide to sell your blogs, you’re out of luck if you’re not hosting it on your own domain … you don’t own it so you can’t sell it!
  3. 3. Are people really going to take you serious if you’re using  free blogging that you’re not even hosting yourself? You may lose credibility, as many people may think you’re not serious enough about your own blogging. Not to mention the advertizing that they can put on your blogs that you have no control over.
  4. 4. Free blogging platforms restrict you from accessing files like the .htaccess file, which is a very important file to control when your blog becomes popular!

If you’re going to make a serious effort at this, you should pay the eight to ten dollars each year for your own domain. It’s very important and if you don’t know how to do it there are people out there who can help you get everything set up.

All three platforms are very good, but one stands out WordPress . The reason WordPress is so incredibly popular and effective is because it allows you to easily install plugins. There are lots of plugins that will do just about anything you want and most of them are free.

I use WordPress on all my blogs. I think it is very easy to use, and I will be referring to WordPress in future posts.

When you set your blog up, use your own name, Brian Gosur, and a subtitle, Learning MLM Secrets, so that they know what your blog is about. You want to brand yourself and get people to know who you are.
