Advice and Strategies That Will Take You Out of This World

Product Descriptions Should Appeal To All The Senses

I am a visual learner. I need to see and read about how something works. I will take it apart so I can see how the inside looks and moves to perform it’s functions. I use these senses to look and study a product.

On the other hand, I am terrible at remembering names and dates. Gets me in a lot of trouble. I have to write it down and visually see it before it will stick in my head, and I won’t embarrass myself the next time I see you. If I don’t do that, I will forget the name the minute I walk away from you.

There are also people who learn simply from hearing. You tell them your name and they have it locked down. Give them a street number and they have it. There are people who only learn from touching an object. They are called  kinetic learners. There are people who learn from smell and others who learn from taste.

One thing in common is that all of us learn in different ways from the senses that we use. We all use our senses to learn, it’s just that we all use different ones.

When article writing I will use the sense that appeals to me, and all the rest of you will be left scratching your head and wondering what I’m talking about.

If you asked me to describe a flower, I would write about how the flower looked. I would tell about it’s color, the green leaves, and I would never tell you of the wonderful aroma it gave. I would appeal to the visual learners and not anyone else.

Product descriptions should appeal to all the senses, not just the ones that I use. Ask yourself these questions before you start.

  1. What does it look like?
  2. How does it smell?
  3. Is there any taste to it?
  4. How does it feel?
  5. Are there any sounds associated with it?

Make your words do the work

  • For sound use words like; drip, clunk, crackle, or buzz.
  • For smell; use words like; pungent, fresh, woodsy, or outdoors.
  • Taste words could be; sweet, creamy, fruity, or sour.
  • For feeling; touchy words like; smooth, sticky, prickly, or soft.
  • Use visual words like; light, sheen, sparkle or shine.

You Are Selling Gold and Silver Collectible Coins

What do you say?

Looking at the exquisite detail and artistic beauty of the MS70 Silver American Eagle is breath taking. Although it is encapsulated in it’s own protective casing, the light glimmering off the silver sheen, just shines to everyone who passes by.

Even though these beautiful collectible coins are minted directly from the US government mint, specifically for collectors, does not diminish the intrinsic value of owning and holding one of these historic works of art. With that also, the ability to be able to pass down to my children and grandchildren a piece of American history.

Although you can’t smell, touch or feel gold and silver numismatic collectible coins, I think you get the vivid picture that I am painting for you as I describe my product in detail, and I hope, touch the senses that everyone uses.

You are painting a visual picture with your words, in the mind of your reader. Try this and see how many more people will be drawn to your product descriptions. Remember to appeal to all the senses and you will attract all the people.

Creative Article Writing

Creative article writing doesn’t just mean putting down thoughts into words then typing and writing it. You have to capture the interest of your readers and get them to keep on reading. To send your message across you have to get the attention of the reader.Get them to see what you see and feel what you feel.

The main ingredient in writing a good article,  is a large dose of creativity. While creativity may come natural to many people, others can get into a block that can drive someone crazy. It can happen to anyone when they get writers block and just can’t seem to get their creative juices flowing.

Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art. A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors help a lot, but the way an article gets entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole article develops the essence of the article.

So just what do you have to do when nothing comes to mind? There is no surefire way to get the perfect ideas, but there are easy ways to get your creative juices flowing. No one can guarantee you of having the perfect mindset but many methods may aid you in achieving that state of mind. Here are five easy ways that I use.

1) Keeping a journal is a great way to keep your thoughts and ideas down on paper. Ideas can be triggered by anything you may hear, see, or smell. Your senses are your radar in finding great ideas. Write all of them into a journal and keep it with you for future reference. You may also write down anything that you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.

2) Relax and take time to sort things out. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. Everyone must have a clear mind if one wishes to have their creativity in full speed. Get rid of all obstacles that can be a hindrance to your creativity. If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused.

Learn to relax. Think about your experiences and interactions with others. Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected in your writings. Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions. Discover what inspires you and what ticks you off. You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas. So many people today never take the time to reflect on their inside.

3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. Your working place can be quite a hindrance if it doesn’t make you feel happy or relaxed. Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a disorganized workplace that causes distractions won’t be a good place to fire up the creative fireplace.

Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, or scents, objects that inspire, or anything that can get your creativeness cranking. A clean and well organized workplace also rids of distractions and unwanted hindrances. With a good working place, you can work in peace and never notice the time pass by.

4) Set the mood. Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment or to induce your self to feeling what makes your mind works best. Finding out what makes you tick could help you find ways to get your creative juices flowing. Set the pace and tempo for your mood and everything else will follow.  Take some time to smell the roses.

There are many ways to set the mood. A little music, a good movie, some fresh air, or what I often like to do…..people watch. I walk to the park and just take in all the surroundings.

5) Take a break and just do something out of the ordinary. Letting yourself go and have fun produces adrenaline that can take your imagination to another level. Take an adventure or go for a long walk. Whatever it is that is unusual from your daily routine can take the rut out of your schedule. In no time at all, your creativeness will make use of that experience and get your imagination to go on overdrive.

Learning MLM secrets, such as these, can set you apart from everyone else. It can give you the edge that you need to go to the top.
