Advice and Strategies That Will Take You Out of This World

Graduating From The School of Hard Knocks

Many of you out there have a college degree, and probably some student loans to pay off as well. I also received a degree, but mine was free. No loans for me to pay back, but there was a price to pay when you are graduating from the school of hard knocks.

Maybe some of you have taken a few courses from this very prestigious school.  I’ve seen lots of friends there, but it has been some of the hardest training that I’ve ever had to endure.

Graduating From The School of Hard Knocks

Coming out of Ford Motor Company after thirty-five years of successful service, I was looking for a new career. I didn’t want to go back to school, but I eventually signed up for some classes from the University of Hard Knocks.

I want to give you five pointers, that I learned during my time there, so that you won’t ever have to take the same courses that I did.

1. Do One Step at a Time

When I left Ford Motor Company and decided to change the direction of my life, the one thing that I didn’t want to do was flip burgers at the local MacDonalds, nor did I want to be a greeter at Walmarts.

I was introduced to network marketing and discovered the power of large numbers, and leveraging through a network. It’s a 120 billion dollar a year industry and many people are starting to discover this, “Business of the Future,” as Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump have labeled it.

But the first thing that happens is you get bombarded with business offers and solutions to help you in your business, and it can be very overwhelming to the newbie, such as I was.

Fortunately, I got introduced to some of the top marketers in the industry and I have learned so much from them.

Focus on one strategy until you master it and then use it in your pursuit of growing your business. Don’t try to spread yourself out to doing fifteen things all at once, like I did. You will just get frustrated and want to quit, it won’t work, so don’t even try it.

2. Pick a Strategy That is You

Find a marketing technique that fits you. One that your comfortable with and you can use to produce results.

Believe it or not, the best marketing strategies are free. Don’t get sucked into paying hundreds of dollars for stuff that you will never use and it will just sit as an empty desktop icon staring at you when you get on your computer.

You will go down this road, I did, we all did, it’s a class that they offer at the school of hard knocks. Learn this lesson well and as fast as you can, because you don’t want to have top repeat this class again, it can become very costly.

3. Put a Plan Together and Follow It

This was another hard lesson for me to learn. I was all over the map, because I didn’t have a blueprint mapped out to follow.

Find your one or two marketing strategies, master them and then put a daily and weekly plan of action into action, and implement your plan to success.

4. Keep Track of Your Results

Another class that is offered at the hard knock school, that I failed over and over, because I didn’t keep track of my results, whether they are good or bad.

You need to know if what you’re doing is working or not, otherwise you maybe walking down the road to failure and not even know it.

5. Make Changes When Necessary

If you aren’t getting the results that are leading you to success, then don’t ever be afraid to make changes. I was always afraid to make changes.

I’m a very patient person, and sometimes I can walk down the wrong road for a lot longer then I should, before I realize this isn’t working. I’m always trying to squeeze out every single drop of use from what I’m doing, before I abandon it.

Learn to follow your results and only do the things that are producing. Don’t be afraid to make the changes when they need to be done.

It’s all a part of the classes offered at the school of Hard Knocks, which are not all bad, as long as we learn and grow from them.

Just because it’s Christmas, I’m going to give you a free strategy that I use all the time. It’s seven videos that will explain free strategies that will get you up and running your business on the road to success, and avoid any classes in the school of Hard Knocks.

Success and Failure – Getting To Yes – You Must First Go Through No

You know that the word failure is talked about way more than the word success. We have a tendency to talk about the times “we almost made it”, more then the times when we did make it.

What is success after all? It’s a goal that we have deep inside and we work hard at lining everything up so that we have the best chance to succeed at that goal. Success’s in life don’t come easy. If it did everyone would be doing it.

Jim Kelly, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1996, led his team into four consecutive Superbowl’s. Lost everyone of them. Despite his successful career as the Bills QB, he will always be remembered for his failure to win a Superbowl championship.

As a network marketer, the more I get people to say yes to my product and business proposal, the more success I enjoy and the more money I earn. So getting to yes, you must first go through no. That will determine the measure of my success.

Most people think of success and failure as a choice. They will concentrate all their energies at success while doing everything within their power to avoid failure. A sure order for an average performance.

The right choice should always be success and failure. The facts remain that all winners, will fail far more often then losers. By dramatically increasing  my failure rate, I put myself on the course of the greatest success formula in the world. Looking and seeking out  the No’s.

A great picture of this is a man at a baseball game selling  peanuts. Most people love peanuts and especially at the ball game. But who will buy this man’s peanuts? He must put on his gear and walk through the stands yelling, “peanuts”! Now most people won’t say no to him, but by their lack of attention to him, they are saying, “no, we don’t want any peanuts”. But there will be those who will look directly at him, raise their hand and show with their fingers, how many bags they want.

How many no’s did he have to go through before he got to yes? Quite a few, but by the time that game is over, he will have sold a lot of peanuts.

Yes is the destination. No is how you get there

Failure comes with a lot of emotion. It is something that we will try to avoid with every fiber of our being. Failure can just be down right devastating.

Success on the other hand, can be a very elusive dream that only happens when all the stars are lined up at the very precise time, with almost a mystical and magical concept for the select few.

Here comes the catch – to achieve success….YOU…MUST…FAIL!

Failure is not aiming at a target and missing. Failure is an undeniable sign of progress toward a goal. Are you actively pursuing your goal or dream? Then you are a success in progress. Failure is never final, or a permanent condition, until you quit!

Get beyond the ability to tolerate NO, and learn how to embrace it. By increasing your willingness to fail, you will increase your ability to succeed.

What would have happened if the peanut man decided to quit after the first two people said no? He would have been labeled a failure and made no money that day.

Donald Trump has failed at business and filed bankruptcy a number of times. Thomas Edison tried a thousand times before his incandescent light bulb worked. Winners never quit and quitters never win. Which one are you?

Do You Live Life in The Comfort Zone?

The comfort zone is where you feel safe. No waves. No rough seas. See no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil. I’m not going to bother you and I don’t want you to bother me. That’s the comfort zone. Or as some call it…living in the box. Where do you live? Do you live in the box……I mean do you live your life in the comfort zone?

I don’t mean comfort like you are financially comfortable. That’s where we all want to be. I mean comfort in the fact that you will never stray to far out of the comfort of your box. Like a puppy or a new born chick. They will never stray to far away from their mother. Why would they? They have warmth, food, and comfort. Kinda like why so many kids today, who don’t move away from home and make a life for themselves. They are comfortable there. They don’t want to move away from that comfort.

Eagles are a great example of this.

Eagles can soar to heights of 10,000 feet

Eagles are very beautiful and interesting birds. They build their nests on high cliffs to keep intruders out and their eggs protected. After those eggs hatch and the birds are born, they will grow up and be fed and protected until they can take care of themselves.

The mother will get the young  ready for flight by flying close to the nest with food in her mouth, but never giving it to the young birds. As she flies by, they try to grab it from her. Teetering on the edge of the nest their wings are open and flapping to keep from falling. In this way they are exercising the wings that will eventually allow them to soar at heights of 10,000 feet and reach speeds up to 35 mph.

To get the birds out of their comfort zone, the mother will take out the soft feathers that had once lined the nest. This will expose the thorny sticks and twigs of the nest, making it anything but comfortable.

To the reluctant bird who just doesn’t want to leave that warm comfy nest, she will eventually push him out. As he falls, he had better learn how to use those wings. She will come underneath him a couple of times and catch him to try again. This will only happen for so long. If he hasn’t picked it up, she will let him fall to his death.

97% of the world’s population live their lives in their comfort zone. In the box. Only 3% venture out of the box. Those are your Donald Trump’s, Robert Kiyosaki’s, and Thomas Edison’s of the world. They are the risk takers. The people who dare to dream. The adventurers of this world. The entrepreneurs that will leave their marks on society. Discover the cure for a disease.

Thomas Edison tried over a thousand times to build an incandescent light bulb. Just think how many people must have laughed? How many must have thought he was a bit crazy? But he never quit until he did what he set out to do.He could see that light bulb in his head. Nobody else could.

Determination, perseverance, and a will that is not moved by the naysayers. You know…….the people who are shouting their insults and negative remarks from the comfort of their box. That is what is needed to be a network marketer. You have to get uncomfortable. You have to get out of the box.

Do you want to soar like an eagle? Do you want to go to new heights? Do you want to fly where very few people have gone? Are you an eagle? Than get out of the comfort of your box and fly!
