Closing The Door To Your Buyers and Your Business Will Grow

Looking at some old family pictures the other day, and I was looking at the old haircut, and those clothes and shoes. Wow, what made me buy those shoes?

Well there was a very good salesman who convinced me that I had to have these shoes. Everyone was getting them and they were the next biggest craze, and they make me look sooooo cool.

Ever buy something that you thought was the most fantastic, awesome product, and you just had to have it. It was going to make your business fly through the roof. You were so excited and geeked that you stayed up all night working on it. Now a year or two have passed and you are cleaning the files on your computer  and you found it again. Looking back you wonder why you bought it.

If you were the person who sold that product to you, you’re not going to be looked at in a very good light the next time you see them online, or the next time they try to pitch you again.

Sometime closing the door to your buyers will build your business. Don’t sell a network marketing tool, that takes a lot of tech knowledge, to a newbie marketer. You will lose some of your integrity and future sales.

Be honest and truthful about what your product can do and who it’s best fitted for. I guarantee it will brand you as an entrepreneur of integrity and you’re products will be looked at in a totally different light.

I know you know them as I know them, those marketers that are loading your emails with garbage, and unfortunately they pray on those newbies who don’t know the difference. I was there before and you were there also.

Then again, there are those marketers that I would probably buy anything that they throughout in front of me, because they always have valueable content and they are true leaders and entrepreneurs of integrity. They are the network marketers that I try to emulate and model myself after. They have a huge following, and when they talk, people are listening. They are well respected leaders in the network marketing community.

When you position yourself as one of these leaders, and you let integrity be the rule that you follow, closing the door to your buyers will grow your business. These buyers will see who you really are, and as time goes on, they will probably buy way more from you than what you closed the door on.

You Have Just Been Rejected!

Hello, my name is Brian Gosur and I’m a network marketer.

Has a nice ring to it doesn’t it? But some people are afraid to say that when someone asks, “What do you do for a living?” They get real quiet and with a faint and squeaky voice they respond, “network marketing.”

I know, because I used to do that also, and because of it, I was not  bold and forthright in approaching people with my product or opportunity.

Why are we ashamed and afraid to acknowledge this? Lots of people make a very good living in the network marketing industry. It’s a 110 billion dollar a year industry. Many of the products people use come from the network marketing arena. Why are we hiding are connection to network marketing?

We are afraid because of what they are going to say. They may argue and get mad and make some accusations about us being in that “pyramid scheme”.

Your perception of rejection is really about you, and who you are, not about network marketing or your primary business.

When I was a kid, I grew up in a home that didn’t share much love. I was told that I would never amount to anything and I was just going to be a garbage man for the rest of my life. I was constantly barraged with negativism and sarcasm, and because of it, I grew up withdrawn and not very assertive. But one thing that I did have, was the will and drive to prove you wrong. You say I can’t, I’ll show you I can. That drive to win, propelled me into playing sports, and that’s what keeps me going in this business as well. The ones who finish the race are the ones who will have all the success and money.

When I played sports, and that first game of the season came, you trained and were prepared, but you wanted to have that first ball hit to you, or take that first hit into the boards and get it out of the way because once you did, the rest of the game became easier. There was some sort of mental block that was erased when that happened and you could now go on and play your game.

When I worked in the mortgage industry and had to make all those cold calls the same was true. Once you got your first couple of rejections, out of the way, it became easier to pick up the phone and make the next call. Now I was ready for the rejection, and actually looking for it.

The worst rejection is by your spouse or family members. These are people that you love and look to for their approval and when they don’t give you anything but rejection… well, that is the hardest thing to take.

You can avoid rejection. Just stay locked up in your office or home and don’t talk to anyone, or face that fear of rejection head on.

When I played hockey and I would get decked, all I did was get back up and get back into the game. I knew I would probably get hit again, but it wasn’t going to stop me from playing. As a matter of fact, it would fuel me even more, and make me more determined to score the next goal.

The same goes with your prospecting. After you do that first couple of calls and get rejected a couple of times, it becomes easier and easier and after awhile, you find that rejection is actually an agent that’s working on your side. We would even make a game of it when I worked in the mortgage business. It didn’t deter us one single bit.

Now I still  get those butterfly’s in my stomach right before I start doing my phone calls, and I think I always will. Sometimes are will find myself reverting back to that little shy withdrawn kid that I used to be growing up, but once I start, and get the ball rolling, it becomes easy and actually kind of fun.

Don’t let people steel your dreams, and don’t let rejection from people who hate their own lives, and don’t know what their talking about, kill the motivation and the drive that is going to lead you to financial freedom, and the successful entrepreneur that you are.

 

 

 

Entrepreneur or Corporate Ladder

The entrepreneur or the dog eat dog world of the corporate ladder? Which is it going to be?

How proud would you be of your son or daughter was climbing up the corporate ladder and getting to the top with success and wealth following close behind? I would be proud and I think anyone would be proud, because that road is long and gruelling and filled with many hard sleepless nights.

So is the entrepreneur’s road of network marketing. Many long and hard working, sleepless nights are what await the road to success for both avenues, but their is a couple of big differences between the two.

The climb up the corporate ladder is a dog fight. It’s eat or be eaten, step on people or have people step on you. You have to be very careful who your friends are because they are going after the same thing you are, and I guess this is true in any kind of job. You are fighting with your co-workers for that new position that’s opening up, and the big raise that goes along with it.

Not so in the network marketing industry. As I build my organization, I want them to succeed. I want to help them grow and climb the ladder of their success, because in so doing, I secure my prosperity and success also. We all win when we all win.

In network marketing, the only reason you fail is because you quit. I guess that’s true in anything in life. Winners never quit and quitters never win.

Perseverance is the key word in network marketing, because as others quit and fall by the wayside you continue to move on. The only people who get the prize are those who finish the race.

No matter what your reason is, a new career, extra income, or time freedom, you will never achieve these lofty goals working for someone else. Unless you get out of the box and follow your dreams and start your own business, you will always be enslaved to your job. You will always be exchanging your time for a paycheck. Asking permission when and how long you can take your next vacation. Not so when you’re your own boss.

Only network marketing affords you the possibility for this ever happening to you.

Example – Doug Wead. Doug Wead was involved in one of the oldest and largest MLM companies; Amway. He was extremely successful and made a lot of money, but that wasn’t why he was doing it. Network marketing gave him the ability to do what his heart always wanted to do, and that was help others.

He started an organization called, Mercy Corps International, which has distributed millions of dollars in medicine and famine relief to troubled areas around the world. This was where his heart was and this is what network marketing gave him the ability to do.

No mater what your reason why is, only your entrepreneurial mind and the vehicle called network marketing can give it to you.

Entrepreneur or Corporate ladder; I’ll leave that decision up to you, but I would like to close this post with a quote from Doug Wead.

My Journey in MLM

My journey in MLM, (multi level marketing), began many years ago. I got involved with my first MLM business, Amway. Amway is one of the most successful MLM businesses in history. They have a great product line and have a history to prove it. But I had a hard time in it. I never achieved the success that I thought I would or that I was told I would.

I did what all the successful people in Amway told me to do. Bought all the tapes and Cd’s, went to all the meetings, used the products myself, (they are awesome products by the way), and I was not getting the results that everyone told me I would. After awhile, when I was spending more money than I was making, I decided, this is not for me.

I joined another MLM. Again, a very good company with a great product, but I was not getting any results. ” Just keep going, don’t quit, it will come to you.” That’s what I was told over and over again.

“Something must be wrong with me!”, I thought. “I’m doing something wrong.” But I could not figure out what it was. I was ready to quit for good. No more of this for me.

Than I discovered something. All these people who were successful, and telling me to follow what they were doing, were A-type personalities.  You know, the used car salesman type. They could sell ice to an Eskimo. They would chase you down, they wouldn’t take no for an answer, until you signed the dotted line. This was not me! Than I discovered something else.

About 15% of the population are A-type personalities. The other 85% …..that’s where I fit in, were just average.  But you know what……that’s a good thing.

I am still involved in an MLM business today, but this time I am doing things a little bit different. I have met some new successful business entrepreneurs. They are top earners in their MLM businesses. They are making six figure incomes every month. But the best part is…..they are not all A-type personalities. They are like me, and maybe even like you, and they are top earners.

They teamed up with me and have shown me some of their strategies. These strategies are nothing like what I was told to do.

It’s based on a system called Attraction Marketing. A system that is a complete turn around from the old days of meetings, tapes and CD’s. No chasing people around here. You attract them to you by branding yourself as a leader who adds value to them and their business.

This is a fully branded attraction marketing system, that brands you as a leader instead of just another peddler peddling your company name or company products. Everybody has a business, and you are just one in a crowd.

Step out of the mold. Be different. You are a very special individual with special talents that make you, you. You have value that can make you money in this industry, and you can help others do the same.
