Network marketing goes round and round because of auto-ship. The sale of products to network marketing distributors is called auto-ship. It’s what makes network marketing successful. A constant flow of sales each month to it’s distributors is what makes any business successful. Anybody who is in sales wants to sell their products right? That’s why they are in business.

If I were selling laundry detergent, vitamins, or juice, I would have to be on an auto-ship. This auto-ship would send me these products every month to my house, weather I liked it or not.

How would it look, if I am trying to sell my products to a customer and he asks me if I use these products also. I say no, and the sale is dead. If I say yes, that doesn’t guarantee the sale, but it sure looks a lot better.

I’m a network marketer. Whenever I tell folks that, they back up a little and think that I’m going to attempt to tell them about some juice or vitamin. Perhaps the new oil I am able to put in my auto or a new water to drink that may change my molecular structure and be in robust health for the remainder of my life, or perhaps some new and better washing detergent. In fact, there are roughly 4800 network marketing corporations out there. There’s a lot to select from.

I was chatting to a woman recently and she was telling me about the billion dollar company that she has her network marketing business through, but she wouldn’t let me know the name. It took me 10 minutes to get her to finally let me know that she’s in Mona-Vie. It was like she was ashamed to give that information. Why?

Mona-vie is a billion dollar company. Mona-vie is a good company with a good product. Mona-vie juice contains the acai berry. This tiny small berry has been judged to have some awesome nutritional importance to it. It holds plenty of good anti oxidizing compounds that our body needs to keep us healthy. There’s one thing. Unemployment in the United States is around 10%.  One in every 136 homes are in foreclosure. Over one million homes will be repossessed by the banks this year alone.

Makes your head spin doesn’t it. Our country and the rest of the world is in a very weak and teetering economic structure.

I know people that had very good secure jobs, or so they thought, and they are now delivering pizza or flipping burgers to make ends meet. Maybe you are one of them.

With all that bad news, I want to shed some light for all of us to consider. If you ever thought about starting a business, now might be the time to do just that. I don’t mean a brick and mortar business. I mean a network marketing business. Now before you close this page and walk away, hear me out.

The network marketing business is a 120 billion dollar a year business. If you were in this industry, you would be with some very good company. Mary Kay, Herbalife, and Avon are network marketing businesses that have over a billion dollars in sales every year. Now you might be thinking, “I don’t want to sell vitamins or cosmetics.” Well there are about 4800 other network marketing companies to choose from. Do some research and I am sure you would find the right fit for you and your families needs.

There are many advantages for starting a network marketing business. The first is the low start up cost. Most network marketing businesses can be started with as little as $300 to $15oo dollars. That’s a far cry from the 100k plus that you would need for a brick and mortar business.

The second advantage is the tax right offs that are available to a small business operator. The government allows for a number of deductions that can be used. Business telephone, office space, and some travel expenses. I am not a tax consultant, but check with your tax adviser to find which ones apply to your particular business.

The third advantage is the ability to set your own hours. Weather you are doing this full time or on a part time basis. It’s your business so set it up to comply with your needs. If your a single parent, want to only work four or five hours a day, or you want to only work the week ends, you can work your new business into any life style you choose. I know some people that are working 70 and 80 hours a week at their brick and mortar businesses. Why? Because they are the business.

The fourth advantage is to work from your own home. Thus the title, home based business. Now not everyone will want to do this. Some may want to have their own office outside from their home.  That is your own personal preference.

My office is in my home. I don’t have to get up in the morning and fight the traffic to and from work. I can take a break in the comfort of my own home, when I want. Don’t need all the expense of suits and dry cleaning. Gas in my car, and the wear and tear of my automobile.

With all that said, I can’t leave this page without putting in a plug for my primary business.

“Every cloud has a silver lining. ” Ever hear that one before? The cloud represents something negative hanging over your life, but do not fret, the silver lining we’re all attempting to find is there. With our economy still wobbling, unemployment hanging around 10 %, and so many folks attempting to find work, it could be tough to find that silver lining. Folk are taking a look at work prospects in places they never thought they might. Some are returning to college, taking on a second casual job, or even starting an exciting new business. When it boils down to survival, and putting food on the table, and a roof over your head, it can become a desperate situation in an exceedingly brief time.

There are 4800 MLM companies in the MLM industry. 4800 different products or services that are being offered to people every day. To get involved in an MLM business today usually means a certain amount of cash up front to get the business started. Usually you are placed on an auto-ship for the product that you are marketing. If it’s juice then you are probably on an auto-ship to receive $100 0r $200 or it might even be $500 worth of juice  being shipped to your house every single month. If it’s vitamins, then you are required to receive $100 or more in vitamins every month shipped to your house.

Vitamins are good. Taking care of yourself is good. I have been taking vitamins for most of my life.

There is only one problem. When you are done taking all your vitamins you have an empty bottle. When your done drinking all your juice, you have an empty bottle. Two empty bottles.
