Advice and Strategies That Will Take You Out of This World

How To Make More Money in Your Business

How do you increase your businesses profitability? Simple! You get more customers or you charge more money for your products. How do you do this? You help more of your prospects to become customers or you help more of your customers with their problems. The bigger the problem you can solve or the more people you can solve it for, the more money you can make. That’s the basic principle behind a good value proposition. Easy right? Well, it’s not always as easy as it sounds.

No matter how great your ideas or how good your skills are, you’re going to have your tough weeks. Whenever you want or need more money, all your energies and focus is on what you can do to make more of it. If you’re not careful, you can get side tracked into what got you here in the first place, and that’s helping people.

Suddenly your efforts are all going to the next affiliate program and your sending out thousands of emails, spamming everybody in desperation to get some easy cash flow. Nothing wrong with this, to an extent,  but when it starts to become desperate, and all your focus and decisions are based on it, this can send you into a tail spin. Fear starts to take over and you are in trouble.

Network marketing and building an organization is about leveraging the efforts of many to make a residual income, not just for you, but for your entire organization. Everyone profits and helps each other to build the organization. It’s how billion dollar companies are built.

I think all of us have fallen into this trap at one time or another, especially when you are just starting out. I know I did.

I started out spamming and chasing everyone away from me and if it weren’t for meeting a gentleman, a few years back,  I would still be in that system today. He connected me to a system of attraction marketing that completely changed the way I do business forever.

Most people that are using the Internet today for marketing their business, are doing it wrong. Spamming and sending out the same emails and business opportunities, five or ten times a day is the fastest way to the delete folder that I know. You know what I’m talking about. You probably get them every day too.

What if you had a system where you gave people the help and the information that they needed to build their businesses, and you did it for free? Do you think that they just might want to hang around you and learn more of who you are and what you do? Before you know it, you are building relationships with prospects, and a following of prospects that just might contain the next Mike Dillard, signing up in your primary business.

Yes this business takes work and it takes perseverance and it takes time to build. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Stay the course, and don’t get side tracked. Learn from the top people in this business and you will know more than 95% of the rest of the spammers, who call themselves network marketers.

Want to know how to make more money in this business? Learn, help people with what you know, and don’t quit. There isn’t a faster way to loose and get to the poor house than to quit.

Stop Marketing – Just Talk To People

I know this is going to sound a little crazy, but to be successful in network marketing, you have to stop marketing. Yes, I said you have to stop marketing.

Every day I get email after email of some new product, or a brand new company that is getting ready to explode, and how I need to get into this, while it is still in pre-launch, or I am going to be left behind. Now I do go through all my emails, because you just never know when you might find some diamond in the rough, but I have to admit, I do go through them very fast at times, because I get so many marketing slams. I’m sure we’ve all experienced this.

This is what you have to stop doing if your doing it, and never start if you haven’t started yet. All these emails are having just the opposite effect that I’m sure their senders were intending them to have. Most people will never read them or even open them up.  They just hit delete. Nobody likes spam people. It’s very annoying.

What if you have a list? You’ve worked hard and you’ve done things the right way, and you have produced a following of people. You didn’t get these people by bombarding them with marketing, you won them over to you by building them up with valuable content and resources, that have put you in a place of leadership and knowing something that helped and benefited all of them. This builds a bond of trust and quality that will be the cement to hold your organization together for years to come. People will always buy from people they trust.

Instead of marketing, were just going to communicate with our prospects. We’re going to talk to them and explain who we are, and find out who they are and what they need. We’re going to tell them how our thing will fill the need that they have, and how it will make their life a whole lot better.  Then we’re going to spell out exactly what they should do next.

You know what? I guess that is marketing, but with a little twist. It doesn’t seem like marketing to me or to my prospects and it’s actually kind of fun. You will build relationships and customers at the same time. And if you come across the occasional jerk once in awhile, and you will , just don’t talk to them. If you wouldn’t like them as friend or co-worker, chances are you won’t want them in your business either. Pass them by and go on to the next person. Don’t waste your time.

Want friends - Become a freind and people will be attracted to you.

Once you have a following, don’t turn into one of those marketing maniacs, and send thousands of affiliate emails, trying to lure your list into buying something from you. All your doing is the same thing the others are but in reverse order. You’ve gained their trust and confidence as a leader and someone who knows, so continue to lead your group with that same hard work and energy. As you learn and grow, pass what’s working, and what you’ve learned onto them.

Stop marketing and just be you. Brand who you are. Your business and organization will grow, and those business relationships will turn into some good friends also. It’s a win win situation. Try it and let me know what you think. Leave your comment.

Give Your Prospects a Big Kiss!

There are a gazillion marketing systems out there for all of us to use. Every day people are bombarding you with new systems that show you how to lead a prospect from step one to the close. Lots of them are good ones and some are better left on the side, and some have bits and pieces of things that work.

I’m going to give you just four simple steps, that I use, to get someone from beginning to bringing them in for the close. What you want to do is give them a big kiss, but not the kind of kiss your thinking, and it’s not a chocolate kiss either. This kiss is spelled,  CISS. It’s as good as gold.

1. Call

Now you don’t have to call all your family or friends and chase them all away from you. I have something else that I use for them that I will tell you about in another post, but you could use this an them as well.

I like to target different market niches, like Real Estate or mortgage companies, who have fallen on some hard times. These are prospects who know what it’s like owning and running their own businesses. You don’t have to explain to them why you will never make it out of the rat race working for someone else. They already know all that.

I simply tell them that I am looking for Real Estate professionals in their city and came across them. I own a company here in, (my city), and am expanding some of my operations in their state. I like to scout out the top notch sales professionals in the area, and I have a simple question for you. “Do you keep your options open at all in terms of earning an income outside of what you are currently doing in Real Estate?”

That’s it, and if you would like an extremely helpful tool that I use, and I definitely recommend to everyone, it’s the “Little Black Book of Scrips“, by Todd Falcone. If you don’t know who Todd Falcone is, then you haven’t been in network marketing for very long. He has been around a long time and has made a lot of money. He’s an expert.

Get on the phone and start calling people. Leave them with an audio CD or some information about your business that they will listen to or read, and set a time to follow up with another call or visit.

2. Invite

After you have made the connection, your follow up should be inviting them to a live presentation, a recorded presentation, or a webinar. The idea is to get them into the next step of the process. Remember closing is a process, not a one time event. By now they have some information and they are interested, now you want to get them to a live event. You don’t have to be the one with all the answers, all you become at this point is an invite-er.

3. Show

Now with the presentation, they have seen pretty much everything. They know the product, they’ve seen the comp plan, but they may still have some questions, or they may want to see the presentation a second time.

I had a friend who, when I first talked with him he was interested, but the timing wasn’t good for him. He was having some family issues that he had to straighten out first. I called him back in six months, he saw the presentation, and he was in.

You have to be patient but persistent. Show them the presentation more then once, if they wish to see it again, and some times even a three way call, with one of your upline or business partners, can be the little prompt that will put them over.

4. Sign

Once you have taken all these steps in the order that is mentioned, all that’s left is the close, and sign the person into your team. The order is very important. If you’ve done everything the right way, by the time they get to the presentation, they will be ready to sign. They will have been convinced long before getting there and it’s just a formality after that.

Take these steps and you should be signing two to three people per week into your business. Do it, and then please leave a comment of how it worked out for you.

Marketing to 500 Million People on Facebook

Is Facebook ready to be number one? Facebook has reached 500 million members. Every eight seconds a new account is formed on Face Book.

Facebook has become a haven for network marketers. A sea of prospects. 500 million to be exact. Now how and what is the best way to market on Face Book?

The newest one is Facebook pay per click. This is rivaling  Google’s PPC marketing, and Google is getting a little worried.

There are a number of ways to market on Facebook and really you should be using a couple of different ones. I am going to show you just one. This is the one that I have been using and a lot of people have been using for awhile.

First you must have a Facebook account. That is very easy to do, but DO NOT mention anything about your business on your Facebook profile.  You want to connect with people. All people. If they see you and your business, they will assume you are just like thousands of other marketers on Face Book who just want to pitch their business at them.

Once you start making connections and friends, people will naturally want to know more about you. This is where your profile is important.  They are going to visit your profile and find out more about who you are. Just make conversation and only talk about your business to them when they ask, and they will eventually ask. Just be patient.

I usually have several generic scripts written  that I keep in my “office one note pad.” One for asking to be a friend and the other for thanking someone for their offer of friendship.

For example; “Hi Jim.  Really liked your page. Please add me to your friends list. I’m also online often so feel free to send me an IM.  Look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day. Brian” It’s friendly and to the point, and I usually always get a response. Always respond to every request you get. That personal note is very impressive. Don’t just click the confirm button.

Once that is done, start to connect with other people. If you are a network marketer, sign up with some of the groups that are associated with a company and or network marketing groups. Also think of the groups that have been hit hard right now with our struggling economy. Real Estate, mortgage, and financial investment companies. These people are hurting for some extra cash each and you have the tool that they could use. Get into their groups.

Once you are in, start posting some articles that are full of value pertinent to the needs of the group that you are in. Do videos and start connecting with people. It won’t take long for people to start looking at you as someone who knows what they are doing. People are not looking for products, they are looking for leaders to follow.

Every day you should be adding twenty to thirty people as friends. Be careful and do not add links to your website or blog in your response. If you do, Facebook will send out a warning after you send about ten or so, that you are doing things that could get your account closed. If you just send out a friendly note, like the one I suggested, you will have no limit.

Looking For a New Career?

Scared to leave your present job to go after the one you want? With today’s economy, your fears are comprehensible. There is however hope. With the right preparation, you’ll find the right prospects for you and land that job of your dreams. Don’t plunge into a new job. With the high rate of unemployment, you don’t wish to quit your present job to follow your dream. There are numerous things worth doing to prepare.

Take some time. Changing your career doesn’t happen overnight.

It takes considered planning and consideration.

Use your keenness to concentrate on what should be done. Begin with your interests. Are you someone that could sell ice cubes to an Eskimo but instead are spending hours on the phone as a telemarketer? Do you dream about landing that million dollar account with a famous advertising agency? Consider what you like to do and find the careers that will give you that opportunity.

Look at what you have got to offer. Do you have the power to crunch numbers at the speed of light? Are you able to find info about anything, whatever how imprecise the subject? Write down a list of your strengths and talents. Decide what areas you might best utilize them. Match them against interests you have and see what job best suits you. Gain the experience or abilities you require for your dream job. Many companies offer coaching courses to build different talents. Use these courses to reinforce any weak areas and gain the experience you require for your new career. This could go a long way to helping you provide a new employer with that edge you want in today’s employment marketplace. After all, this is a world economy. There are people on the other side of the world trying to get the same job you are.

Consider a work-at-home business. Bored with the long commute? Could you’re employment be better suited at home? Some companies have downsized their firms and are hiring outside sellers. When thinking about this, you have to take it slow and do the analysis. Work at home businesses take a considerable time in building and typically start with small earnings. Decide on a plan of how you’ll get through this time as you gear up to start your business.

Think thoroughly about your selected area. How much of a demand is there in the internet marketing? The internet has changed the way we do business today, and I think it just might be here to stay. You might want to check it out. A home based business just might be right for you. Make Money at home.

You’ll need all of your energy and focus for the days to come. Keeping in shape will give you the strength and staying power you’ll need to realize your goals. So you didn’t land the job of your dreams. Perhaps it is merely a stepping stone on the way to the top. With preparation and time, you’ll be able to find the right prospects for you and get the job you like to do. Make tiny goals for yourself you can achieve each day. They’re going to give you the drive to keep going till you get what you need.

You might want to take a look at the network marketing industry. A 120 billion dollar a year industry with about 4800 companies to choose from. Their is a goldmine of opportunities just waiting for the right person who wants to start their own business without laying out a lot a ton of cash up front. In this downed economy, this is a very promising and fruitful career to consider.
